Senior Lecturer in Law, Cardiff University

Leanne graduated from Cardiff Law School in 2001 with a first class honours degree in Law. In 2002 she began her doctoral research at Queen's University, Belfast. Her PhD, entitled 'The problem of parenting in lesbian families and family law' was awarded in 2007. Her current research interests are in the areas of family law, particularly the law governing parenthood and parental disputes, and gender, sexuality and law.

Leanne joined Cardiff Law School as a lecturer in September 2006. She currently lectures on the undergraduate Family Law module and teaches on the Legal Foundations module. Before joining Cardiff Law School, Leanne taught a range of subjects on the LLB programmes at Queen's University, Belfast and at the University of Bristol. She has also been a visiting scholar at Emory University, Atlanta and at the Australian Institute of Family Studies, Melbourne.
